What a nice experience it was. We stayed at the River Club with our kids during the Knysna Oyster Festival. Friendly and efficient staff and the units are of a very high standard. Well done to all! We will be back next year.

here was nothing I needed...I was literally in my home away from home. The location of the river club is just perfect. You're close to the N2 but also close to the lagoon so you feel like you're away from the hustle and bustle of town. We took long walks on the lagoon & hired the bikes for sunset rides (including a small bike for our 3 year old).
I have stayed in many self catering places but none have offered such a comfortable stay in such a pleasant environment, surrounded by peace & quiet amongst the trees, giving the feel of being in the country although you are located in the centre of town.
The cabin and surroundings were to say the least perfect. We had an excellent stay and were very impressed with the KRC. The staff were so, so helpful and friendly and the cabins very neat and tidy with everything you need, only bring your food. Nice and centrally situated it was the perfect spot for us to explore Knysna and surroundings.
The cabins are made of wood, and you get the sense that you are in the forest. It was very spacious, with a self catering kitchen, a lounge area, a bedroom and a bathroom, with both shower and bath. The view was beautiful - right the way across the lagoon, and we could see to the Heads. Really spectacular.
The grounds were green with tall trees and flowering shrubs. The breakfast was good and since we were there using it as a base to travel to Cango caves and ostrich farm, our stay was a short one , just for 2 nights. Wish we had stayed there longer -it was such a pleasant place with many activities.
